Non-standard arrival and departure dates
The default arrival and departure days are September 16 and September 22, respectively.
If you plan to arrive later or leave earlier:

If you arrive later than September 16 you must organize your travel to Erice by yourself and at your own cost.

If you depart earlier than September 22 you may ask the local staff in Erice to organize a taxi for you. However, you have to pay for it by yourself.
If you plan to stay longer on Sicily:
It is generally possible to stay longer at the Ettore Majorana Centre in Erice.
However, the EMFCSC charges you the full daily rate for each extra day and you have to pay for the transport from/to the airport.
Moreover, Erice is a pittoresque town but quite remote and it is difficult to reach other places of interest from there by public transport.
Therefore we recommend to spend your extra day(s) at some other place(s) on Sicily organized by yourself.
You may then use the transport organized by the EMFCSC on the default days to get to Erice or back to the airport.

If you arrive earlier on Sicily, indicate in the "comments" field of the "arrival and departure information form"
at which airport (Palermo or Trapani) and at what time you want to be picked up on September 16.
At that time you should come to the arrival hall and look for a person with a sign "Erice".

If you plan to depart later from Sicily, write in the "comments" field of the the "arrival and departure information form"
that you want to take the ride to the airport on September 22 (indicate which and the approximate time).
From there you can continue your journey by yourself, e.g., by train or a rental car.
